Named for its location to the west of Middle (now Smith Hall) and East Hall, West Hall is one of the three original buildings constructed on the Ripon College campus. West Hall is on the National Register of Historic Places. It contains classrooms and offices for the English and German departments on the second floor, and Romance Languages on third floor. The Anthropology department can be found on the first underground level of West Hall along with the ROTC program. The Ripon College Historical Museum, which opened in 1989 and is newly renovated, is on the main floor adjacent to the faculty lounge and kitchen. ROTC uses the main floor classroom and has offices, classrooms, and a lounge on the lower level.
